Qu'a fait Jean-Louis Borloo en 10 ans de présence au gouvernement pour faire avancer le Canal Seine Nord?

C'est avec stupéfaction, voire indignation que j'ai pris connaissance des déclarations de l'ancien Ministre de Nicolas SARKOZY, concernant le projet de Canal Seine Nord, dans l'édition de la Voix du Nord du 5 avril 2013. En attaquant de la sorte le Ministre des Transports, Frédéric CUVILLIER,  non seulement M. BORLOO a la mémoire courte et sélective mais en plus il fait preuve d'une mauvaise foi qui frise le ridicule.

Pendant 10 ans au gouvernement, en tant que Ministre de tutelle pour ce grand projet, il a littéralement fait couler ce projet indispensable au développement de notre région Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Qui a sous-évalué les coûts du projet? M. BORLOO. Qui a accepté un sous-financement à seulement 6% du montant total du projet de la part des institutions européennes? M. BORLOO. Qui n'a procédé qu'à des effets d'annonce  lors du Grenelle de l'environnement en nous léguant un projet non-financé? M. BORLOO. Pour ces trois raisons, il n'est pas le mieux placé pour s'exprimer comme il le fait à l'égard de notre Ministre des transports, Frédéric CUVILLIER.

Le gouvernement entend relancer le transport fluvial. Il est donc faux de dire que nous plantons ce projet alors que nous travaillons à le réajuster pour qu'il soit  notamment éligible à des financements européens. Nous voulons faire augmenter la part de ce cofinancement à 30%, dans le cadre notamment du Mécanisme pour l'Interconnexion en Europe, sur la période 2014-2020. A cet égard, un rendez-vous est pris avec le cabinet du Commissaire européen aux transports, Siim KALLAS, courant mai.
