Convention nationale sur l'Europe du Parti socialiste

Depuis plusieurs semaines, le Parti socialiste travaille à l'élaboration d'une convention sur l'Europe. le Bureau national a débattu aujourd'hui de ce texte au cours de sa réunion hebdomadaire.

Ce document est actuellement rédigé à partir des contributions de plusieurs responsables socialistes réunis en cinq groupes thématiques. J'étais pour ma part le coordinateur de l'un de ses groupes. En tant que secrétaire national du PS à la coopération Nord/Sud et mon implication au Parlement européen dans les relations avec le Maghreb, c'est tout naturellement que j'ai pris en charge le groupe thématique sur l'Europe dans le monde.

Dans le document que vous pouvez consulté ici, j'énonce, avec le co-rapporteur de ce texte, Didier Boulaud, des propositions pour renforcer, améliorer et rendre plus juste la présence européenne dans le monde.

Donner priorité à la coopération avec la Méditerranée, pour soutenir le futur du printemps arabe, et l'Afrique pour accompagner les pays les plus en difficulté ; Instaurer un juste échange dans la politique commerciale européenne pour que nos partenaires respectent nos valeurs et que l'Europe soit moins naïve face à des pratiques commerciales souvent déloyales ; Consolider les fondements de la sécurité commune de l'Europe à travers la création d'un pilier européen au sein de l'OTAN ; Rompre avec une politique migratoire conduite sous le seul prisme de la chasse aux fraudeurs... voilà les grandes propositions de mon groupe thématique qui alimentent le texte final de la Convention europe.

La Convention Europe se déroulera le 16 juin prochain. A un an des élections européens des 24 et 25 mai 2014, cet évènement va fixer les fondements de la réorientation de l'Europe que les socialistes souhaitent porter pour une Europe plus juste, de la croissance et de l'emploi.
